This policy applies specifically to the Spatial Lens mobile application and related services.
This privacy policy applies to the Spatial Lens mobile application, related cloud services, support interactions, and other product workflows that reference this policy. It explains how RealHorizons collects, uses, stores, discloses, and otherwise processes information when you use Spatial Lens to sign in, capture spaces, upload scan content, process jobs, manage organization access, review results, and use account or credit-related features.
Spatial Lens is provided by RealHorizons. In this policy, "RealHorizons," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the Spatial Lens app and associated services. "You" and "your" refer to the user, customer, team member, organization representative, or other person using the app or interacting with our services.
Spatial Lens may collect information that you provide directly when you create or use an account, including your name, email address, organization name, profile details, avatar, and other information associated with authentication and account administration. If you sign in through a third-party identity provider such as Google or Apple, we may receive profile details made available by that provider, subject to the permissions you grant during sign-in.
When you sign in using email and password, or by using Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, authentication data is processed through our identity and backend infrastructure. Depending on the sign-in method, we may process account identifiers, session tokens, provider identifiers, redirect callback data, and profile attributes needed to create or restore your account session, keep you signed in, and associate you with the correct organization. We do not describe the app as independently processing raw payment card numbers or advertising identifiers as part of this sign-in flow.
Because Spatial Lens supports organization-based access, we may process organization IDs, organization names, membership records, roles, selected organization settings, and related entitlement information. This data allows us to determine which workspaces you can access, which jobs belong to your organization, how credits and plan features are applied, and whether specific storage, branding, or usage limits are available to your account.
When you use Spatial Lens to create a scan, the app may collect or process camera frames, photos, videos, point cloud data, reconstruction outputs, session identifiers, timestamps, filenames, quality settings, scene type selections, and related technical metadata required to build, upload, review, export, and manage spatial capture jobs. Some capture data may be stored locally on your device before upload, and some may be transmitted to our cloud processing infrastructure when you choose to process or sync a scan.
Spatial Lens is designed for spatial capture workflows and may process data relating to the physical environment being scanned. This can include point cloud representations, scene coverage analysis, overlap and alignment signals, device pose or motion-related measurements, LiDAR availability status, reconstruction guidance, scene classification choices such as interior or exterior capture, and related information needed to evaluate scan quality and generate 3D or Gaussian-splat style outputs. Where this information is transmitted off-device and retained beyond the immediate request, it should be treated as collected information for app functionality purposes.
In addition to raw scan input, we may process and store outputs or derivative records such as generated models, output file keys, rendered assets, preview artifacts, queue position, processing stage, job status, point counts, stable point counts, coverage scores, and other metrics derived from the underlying capture. These outputs and derived records are used to deliver the service you requested and to let you review progress, troubleshoot failed jobs, and manage resulting assets.
We may also process operational information such as organization membership, subscription plan status, credit balances, credit transactions, job progress, queue position, storage usage, entitlement details, and limited device or app diagnostics necessary to operate the service, troubleshoot failures, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
When you use Spatial Lens, we and our infrastructure providers may process technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, network request metadata, log records, timestamps, request outcomes, temporary object storage references, and similar technical data needed to maintain availability, secure the service, diagnose errors, and monitor the health of processing workflows. We do not describe the app as an advertising-tracking product, and the current codebase does not indicate third-party advertising SDKs or App Tracking Transparency prompts as a core part of the experience.
We use collected information to authenticate users, maintain secure sessions, associate users with organizations, save local capture sessions, upload and process scan files, generate spatial outputs, provide account and billing features, display project and job status, support sharing and export actions initiated by you, respond to support requests, detect misuse, enforce our terms, and maintain or improve the quality, performance, and security of the app and connected services.
We process personal information only for legitimate product and business purposes related to delivering Spatial Lens and supporting customer relationships. Depending on your jurisdiction, our legal bases may include performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests such as service security and improvement, and your consent where consent is required.
Spatial Lens may request access to device capabilities such as the camera, media or file storage, and sharing interfaces in order to capture scenes, save temporary session files, create exports, attach or upload files, and let you share generated outputs. We request these permissions only when they are relevant to a feature you choose to use. If you deny a permission, some features may be unavailable or may have reduced functionality.
The iOS app configuration may reference while-in-use location access for location-aware capture or scene-context functionality. If a released version of Spatial Lens uses location-enabled features, location data would be used only for the specific feature presented to you and only in the manner described at the time permission is requested. We do not present Spatial Lens in this policy as a background location tracking product or as a tool that sells location data for advertising purposes.
The app may store scan sessions, frame data, metadata, cached archives, and related working files locally on your device to support capture, review, export, and upload workflows. These locally stored files remain on your device until they are deleted by the app during cleanup, removed by you through available workflows, or cleared when the app is removed from your device, subject to operating system behavior.
If you choose to upload or process scan data, the files and associated metadata may be transmitted to cloud infrastructure operated by us or our service providers for storage, processing, job orchestration, and delivery of generated results. This may include temporary upload URLs, object storage keys, job identifiers, and processing state information necessary to complete the requested service.
We may share information with vendors and service providers that help us operate Spatial Lens, including providers supporting authentication, cloud hosting, file storage, processing infrastructure, analytics related to service operations, customer support, and payment or subscription administration if applicable. We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other lawful process, or when reasonably necessary to protect our rights, users, systems, or the public.
Based on the current app implementation, service-provider categories may include identity and session management providers, backend database and API providers, cloud object storage and asset delivery providers, serverless or remote processing infrastructure, and mobile operating-system-level services involved in account sign-in, file sharing, or device capabilities. These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to us, subject to their contractual and legal obligations, or under their own privacy terms where they act independently, such as Apple or Google account services you choose to use.
We do not state in this in-app policy that personal information is sold to data brokers or used for third-party advertising networks. Spatial Lens is presented as a product and service experience rather than an advertising-supported consumer tracking product.
Spatial Lens may display information related to plans, credit balances, credit usage, top-ups, billing state, subscription entitlements, storage limits, and related transactional records associated with your organization. This information is used to determine feature access, usage allowances, and service availability. Unless a payment screen explicitly tells you otherwise, the app is not described here as directly storing full payment card data inside the client application; instead, we process the records necessary to reflect plan and credit status in the product.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app and related services, maintain business and financial records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, comply with legal obligations, and support legitimate operational needs such as security, backup, fraud prevention, and auditability. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data, whether it is stored locally on your device or in our systems, and applicable legal requirements.
Scan files, generated outputs, logs, and job records may be retained for different periods depending on whether they are needed to complete processing, support downloads, preserve customer workspaces, investigate failures, comply with customer commitments, maintain backups, or satisfy legal and accounting requirements. Locally stored temporary files on your device may be deleted automatically during certain cleanup workflows, but remote records may persist longer where necessary for operational or legal reasons.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information and scan content from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no storage system, transmission method, or internet-connected service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and you use the app and connected services with that understanding.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for using authorized sign-in methods only. We may use session management, role-based organization access, backend authorization checks, and similar safeguards to reduce unauthorized access, but you should also protect your device, keep your credentials secure, and sign out if you no longer want the app to maintain an active session on a device.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to personal information, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of certain information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, or request a copy of information in a portable format. You may also sign out of the app, limit what information you upload, and manage certain information stored on your device through the app or your device settings.
You can also manage certain privacy choices directly on your device. For example, you can revoke camera, photo library, or location access using iOS settings, remove the app from your device, clear local app content through available product workflows, or avoid uploading scan content that you do not want processed in the cloud. If you are part of an organization-managed workspace, some records may also remain subject to that organization’s administrative policies and contractual arrangements with RealHorizons.
Spatial Lens is not intended for children under the age at which digital consent is required in the relevant jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly design the service for use by children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information in violation of applicable law, please contact us so that we can review and take appropriate action.
Your information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live, including countries where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. When we transfer personal information across borders, we take steps intended to support lawful transfer and appropriate protection consistent with applicable law.
The app may rely on third-party services for sign-in, hosting, storage, infrastructure, file sharing, or other operational features. Those third parties may have their own privacy policies and practices, and this privacy policy does not control the independent practices of third-party products or services except to the extent they are acting solely on our behalf as processors or service providers.
Based on the current app implementation reviewed for this policy, Spatial Lens is not presented as an app that uses third-party ad SDKs for behavioral advertising, sells personal data to data brokers, or performs contact-list scraping, microphone recording, or background consumer tracking as a core product function. If our practices change, we would expect to update this privacy policy and, where required, our App Store privacy disclosures.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, our data practices, legal requirements, or operational needs. When we do, we may revise the effective or last updated date and post the updated policy within the app, on our website, or through other appropriate communications.
